Fraudsters using fake profiles on Matrimony websites to make money

I am a paid member of the Bharat Matrimony website finding partners and came across a profile of girl in my daily matches, I found it to be profile interesting and sent a request to the profile named Keerthi Venigalla.  who had a Free profile and a pretty profile photos to go with well Qualified MBBS too which lured me in to that.

the Next day I had a reply from Bharat Matrimony were she replied to my interest with below message

Congratulations! T2590634 has replied to your personalized message with the following message:

Can you please add me on keerthivenigalla3@gmail.com so that we can proceed further. .

I have added her to my Gmail account and sent her a email asking what is the  information she seeks

She replied and asked me to send my profile details which I did, and then I requested for the same.

She replied with the bio data below

Name - Keerthi Venigalla

Father's name- Sudhakar - demised in 2002(heart attack)

Mother's name - Annapurna

D.o.b-08-01-1990

Time of birth-8.06 am

Raasi-vrushabha raasi

Nakshatram - rohini 2nd padma

Then she added me on what's App as I live in united kingdom and it was easy to communicate.

Then she asked me what my interests were and what she seeks in her partner and I asked her the same

Day 2 -

She started communicating more as if she is totally interested, she said she asked her grand mother who was 90 years old to look at the horoscope and  she informed that the horoscope matched perfectly.

she started saying what are my plans after marriage if I would like to settle in UK or coming back to India. then she said that she already very much interested in my profile. Then I sensed some kind of fraud and I goggled her name, I could not get any negative results and she had a Face book profile which looked decent.

then the communication and bonding grew for some reasons she hesitated to do video chat.

Day 3

She started icing me by calling me with nick name as Nani and slowly she asked me how much I earn and as she has done MBBS, she was interested in writing PLAB in UK and work.

Then she said she went to USA twice and she said the thing between us is going great Then she asked me what I liked in her and the same I asked her. Then she asked if I had any crushes the interesting thing started here she asked if some girl comes and proposes you, what will you do

I told her that I will think about it,

To my surprise, she said I am already committed to you and you should also be the same.

Then she said I Love you (which I thought was little too fast) then I told her we never spoke on the phone and haven't even seen each other. The next moment she sent me many photos of her and also called me directly to UK from Guntur.

Then the conversation grew as I had fever and she started comforting me in chatting saying have to tool medicines and don't go to office , take rest.

Day 4

The next day she said her mom is happy with my profile and her mother called my parents and talked to my mother. my mom said her mom talked very well and they are happy for my parents to come and she her daughter.

this convinced that they are interested in me, and she even said she will come to UK to see me.

she also said she had Car(Verna) and drives very well

as she is a doctor she said she is going for a medical camp to serve people in some Vizag area and asked me if I can donate some money.

I thought they are doing a good thing so I have donated about Rs 10, 000

She sent some more images of her family, pics of her 2 dogs. I also sent couple  my family photos

Day 5:

In the morning, she pinged me asking what is my shirt size so that when my parents come and visit their parents can give it to my parents along with a silver plate and glass.

She also called me and we spoke on the phone for hours. All of a sudden, when I was on my way to office she called me and started crying, saying one of her friends took her car and met an accident. The car hit a boy and the boy is in his death bed so to settle the issue, she needed money.

She asked about 2.5 to 3 lakh from me. I had a doubt and I asked her why are you paying the money for someone else's fault and she replied that the car is theirs and her mother shouldn't know about it.

She said that her brother in New Jersey can help but its night and western union is not open till morning.

She was crying, crying and I resisted not to give the money but she kept on saying, I will give you once my brother wakes up.

I know there was something fishy going on but somewhere I had a soft corner. She asked me to send the money to the same person and I donated the money too. I told her I will not send the money to his account but if you give me yours or your mother's account. Then she sent her sisters account.

I sent her a message saying I am trusting on you on this for which she replied. I have to be with you throughout my life and cheating me is like cheating her own self.

I finally sent her Rs 1 lakh. Even then she said the money is not enough and persisted that she needs more money and again started crying. I gave up at this point.

After an hour, to my surprise, I did not hear from her. I sent her a message and no reply. I still thought she must be busy with something, so  waited

Day 6:

In the morning, I messaged her asking if the problem was resolved, she did not reply. I kept on sending the messages and to my disappointment, no reply. That is when I sensed that they were fake and I felt I was betrayed(tears started rolling from my eyes for this not because I lost the money but she betrayed my trust).

I went in to the Bharat Matrimony and checked to see if her profile was still active but only to find out the profile is suspended. I had rang the Bharat Matrimony customer services and they said the profiled was not verified and it was fake and they suspended it. This is very unfortunate that Bharat Matrimony did not inform me. People, be careful when you send requests to free members.

I think they have stolen someone's identity.

I don't care what people think but I am only sharing this because I don't want any one else to be a victim.

I have also uploaded the transcript we chatted, read it and its interesting at times. please keep in mind all that Seeing is believing.

I have made a formal complaint against Bharat Matrimony that why did they not let me know that the profile is fake and was suspended? There is no answer from them.
